About Mezzaluna Ristorante
If you’re a theatre buff you’ll love Mezzaluna. It’s bang next to the Theatre Royal in Bath. Take in a show, and take in a meal too. They do a prompt pre- or post-theatre menu for under £14 for two courses. Or you could save the show for another evening, and take your time at this stylish Italian restaurant. The curtain rises on the antipasti – crostone con fegatine (featuring pan-fried chicken liver with shallots, Chianti and chilli). For act two, the protagonists include garganelli alla scapece – with courgettes, rugola and garlic; salmone alla ligure – with pecorino, herbs and pesto; and rack of lamb with the chef’s own blueberry sauce. And how about profiteroles for a dramatic climax? You’ll leave wanting more. Just don’t get carried away with Italian passion and shout ‘encore’. Save that for the theatre.

The Mezzaluna restaurant has a unique ambience due to its decor and shape. You can have a secluded table for two or a larger gathering if you wish. The menu provided a wide choice at a resonable price. The wine list was also extensive and again reasonably priced with some good new world wines on offer. The food was well cooked and well presented. The beef fillet was cooked rare(as requested) and literally melted in the mouth. The lamb was equally good. Fresh vegetables well cooked . Fine dining.Review
We found Mezzaluna Ristorante via toptable prior to visiting the Christmas Fayre in Bath, and what a find it was! The staff were most welcoming and never rushed us. The food was really memorable and my enthusiastic description of our experience to fellow hotel residents at breakfast the following morning resulted in them eating at the Mezzaluna that evening. They also loudly sang its praises. We will certainly eat there again on our next visit to Bath.Review
Mezzaluna was a nice place, good food, a little on the expensive side. A nice intimate restaurant, reccommended for couples!Visitors
