Had to book at six for offer but Mezbaan was empty Tuesday, few diners when we left. Masala Dosa and Idli were tasty and nicely presented, the Pakuras were good. Excellent Lamb Cafiel with generous Kashmiri rice, my friend had Kondu Masala (prawns) which he enjoyed and my vegetarian partner chickpeas. Great Okra Raita. No side vegetable dishes. Why not put some on the menu?

Went to Mezbaan restaurant on a hunch. I rarely have seen such friendly jet inobstrusive service in a restaurant. We had a lesson in pronounciation of the names of dishes, had advice and recommendations, all very much appreciated and enjoyed, as was the meal. The restaurant could possibly do with some refurbishment. Make it a must visit place at Tollcross!!

Good starter and very good service but i was disappointed by the main meal. Also, the restaurant was virtually empty when i arrived at 7.30pm so no ambience however this did pick up a little later.

This place was awesome. For starters we both tried the Macchi Kali Mirch (fish in spices) and were pleasantly surprised at the depth of flavours and power from the garlic and black pepper. My fiance picked a chicken thali for mains (combination of a curry of your choice, meat and strength wise, and little taster pots of dhal, raita, bread rice etc ) and I chose the malabari lamb biryani. This was full and flavoursome and the pot so deep even I coudln't finish it.Highly recommended and well pric

Mezbaan takes a casual approach to dining and currently suggests diners bring their own wine as the restaurant's selection is very small. The food was superb. Being vegetarians we are used to a limited selection but Mezbaan catered exceptionally well for the vegetarian diner. Good use was made of whole, rather than ground, spices and each dish was packed with flavour. We will definitely go again.

We had a great meal here. It was Friday night and the restaurant was buzzing. The South Indian food is tasty and service is friendly but not intrusive. I heartily recommend the masala dosa (rice pancake) which comes with a wonderful coconut chutney. Corkage is only £2 and portions are generous - ideal for these credit crunch times. Only minor gripe is the toilets ...
