About Metro Garden Restaurant & Bar
This magical neighborhood restaurant is popular with the fashionable SW London set when in the mood to chill. There are large sofas for slumping in with cocktails, whose descriptions add a bit of frivolity to the proceedings (Motel Martini - more invigorating than a Nordic ice bath and much closer to home. Food is lovely; try fresh seafood salad to start, followed perhaps by risotto of the day (always veggie). Finish with either the chocolate nemesis or passion fruit cheese cake. Good wine list. Service is charming and friendly. The best feature has to be the garden where you can eat al fresco in summer and, in winter, under a marquee lit by fairy lights; a magical space for wedding receptions, birthdays and so on.
A credit card is required for bookings of 8 or more people, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. Metro do not take bookings of nine and above from toptable.

As a local, I've eaten at Metro several times and it is consistently good - fresh food, reasonably priced served by friendly, informative staff - what more could you ask for?

This restaurasnt is ver samll and imtimate, i can imagine it would be afantastic venue during the summer but for a winter restaurant it lacks alot of space. the food was certainly different the menu wasn't vast with choice especially if you have certain dietary needs but the creativity of the chefs were intersting. The bar area itself is also small and intimate with large sofa on two levels, on sunday nights that have alive Jazz & Blues band pay which is acctually very relaxing to listen to.Review
The Metro Garden in Clapham, is a lovely restaurant although a bit small, the food was good and the service was excellent. would definately go again but not maybe in a small group as this time more suited to a romantic meal for two.Visitors
