About Mercado
A new addition to Stoke Newington's eclectic dining scene, Mercado is inspired by the cantinas and colours of Mexico's vibrant markets. You certainly can’t miss this explosion of colour as you wander down Stoke Newington Church Street so put on your happy face and close the door to keep the cold outside where it belongs. Colourfully painted walls, Mexican hangings and vintage South American film posters make this an eclectic and totally kitsch hangout, perfect for the arty crowd and just about anyone who loves a side order of fun. The authentic Mexican cuisine served up by Mercado is unsurpassed in the area, and includes those traditional dishes that can’t be missed from any Mexican menu.

The food at Mercado was good, however not the most imaginative menu choices. It was very good value with the toptable offer. No complaints with the service. I would go back.Review
The inviting warm decor at Mercado (Stoke Newingtonton Church Street)is coupled with authenic music, helpful service and great food. It's nice to find a wide selection of quality south american food and cocktails, for such great prices with a relaxed, bordering on party, atmosphere. My boyfriends only complaint was that he fancied a chimichanga but in my opinion he didn't really need his burrito deep fried. 9/10 overall!Review
I'm new to Stoke Newington but now I know where to get good fajitas - Mercado. The service took a while to get going, and the sour cream is not the same as I'd expect in an American Tex-Mex restaurant, but I'll definitely go back with my TopTable discount offer.Visitors
