Found Mem Saheb on Top Table and decided to go as was looking for a local Indian restaurant. Food was great as was the venue which is tucked up at the top a private residential street on the banks of the Thames. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Mem Saheb was surprising pleasant. Being a local Docklands restaurant, i.e. outside of the city, I was not expecting too much out of the ordinary but there was a good selection of unusual but good tasting dishes; would defiintely recommend.

Although the service was impeccable, the food did not live up to the same standard-small portions and main curry dishes that tasted quite similar to each other let it down somewhat. However, the lamb chops that were given as compliments after building rapport with the manager (something synonimous to many indians when eating out!) was definately the highlight of the evening - superb tasting starter! Overall, intimate, cosy restaurant for a general nice evening out.

Excellent food, all freshly cooked with fresh tasting flavours. Extensive menu, with the usual staples plus a good number of alternative dishes. Not much ambience at lunchtime : restuarant only had one other couple there. Location also leaves a little to be desired. Poor selection of soft drinks, but wine list seemed good value (esp. given its proximity to Canary Wharf). Christmas menu looks interesting (anyone up for turkey with vindaloo sauce ?). Will definiitely return.

Great food at Mem Saheb as usual - but very busy so service was slightly slow. But great atmosphere, would thoroughly recommend. The last time we went Delia Smith was there and apparently she is using one of their recipes in her next book!

Mem Sahib was great, as always - although the chilli chicken did leave the lips tingling!

Visited Mem Saheb with another couple on a Wednesday night, so it was quite quiet. Definately recommend you get a cab there as it is tucked away and a good walk from the nearest DLR. Food couldn't be faulted and the service effiecient & friendly. Good value for money too - £70 per couple for two courses, beer, wine & champagne. Definately recommended.
