About Melaka Docklands
Melaka restaurant in London’s thriving Docklands is one of the country’s most authentic Malaysian and Indonesian eateries. It’s an intimate, laid-back space in the modern vernacular, with white walls, wooden floors, chocolate leather seating, a groovy bar area overseen by a loving golden Buddha and an umbrellaed al fresco terrace for smokers and sun-worshippers. The menu relies on fresh, fine ingredients for the creation of dishes like the signature dish, a very traditional rendang, and the Singapore laksa. So authentic it’s usually full of blissed-out Indonesian and Malaysian diners.
Opening hours:
Mon - Fri 5pm - 11pmSat & Sun 12pm - 11pmAvailable weekday lunches for private events.
The Indonesian ambassador’s wife is a big fan of Melaka.

Melaka is a very authentic Malay/ Indonesian restaurant. Food was good, full of flavour, and prices were excellent for the portion sizes. I would definately go here again.Review
We had a great evening at Melaka - friendly and attentive service, good food, and even the chef to discuss it with. The room is coolly modern but welcoming, feaaturing an open fire in the bar area. Definitely recommended.Visitors
