We had the Christmas dinner menu at Matsuri, the food was as lovely as usual, with a touch of Christmas, eg "Christmas tree sushi" - looked great and tasted great.

Dined at Matsuri with a girlfriend. The food is excellent quality, although it is a place for special occasions as it is quite expensive. If raw fish is not your thing, I would recommend the fillet steak teppanyaki, superb quality, and great entertianment as it is cooked in front of you. Reasonably priced wine list.

Lovely food as usual at Matsuri St James. We had the okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza) - very nice, and good value too! The soft-shell crab starter and the teppanyaki beef fillet from the Autumn menu were also very nice. Would definitely dine there again (as a treat - as it's quite pricey!)

Matsuri St James offers high quality, authentic Japanese food. Tempura was crispy and light, sasimi was fabulous, and teppanyaki was entertaining as ever. For this kind of food and service you would expect to pay a reasonably high price, and the final bill did not dissapoint....

Second time been at Matsuri - took parents for their first taste of Japanese food. They enjoyed it. Service v good. Food good too. Bit expensive - no real great lunch deals - but quality ingredients used and you're paying a bit for the teppanyaki spectacle.

Matsuri St James - We had a team dinner here and opted for the tepanyaki table for some entertainment and to get a good buzz among the team. Unfortunately the chefs weren't very interactive with the diners as i have previously done tepanyaki and had a very entertaining night. The food was also very expensive which was to be expected but we ordered the Wagyu Gold beef (imported) and i was disappointed as it was quite fatty and yet the sushimi tuna was fabulous. I wouldn't dine here again.

Matsuri St James was a real treat - sat in the Teppin Yaki area and feasted on the pre theatre menu and 5 courses...Service was impeccable and the chef fantastic and entertaining. Will definitely go back for the pre theatre menu as it was great value and the seafood out of this world.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
