About Home House Restaurant
This super-chic restaurant has created a huge buzz on the Edinburgh restaurant scene. Set in a grand Georgian Town House, the Home House Restaurant is always busy with a vibrant and fashionable crowd, and is popular for cocktail parties and stylish nights out with friends as well as business lunches and corporate entertaining. Bold and colourful, the main dining room is warm and inviting with soft chocolate brown and raspberry banquette seating, stunning modern chandeliers, wooden floors and an open fire. Modern Scottish with a seasonal European influence is the dish of the day for a la carte dining, while the Club menu offers traditional and comforting classics. Regular diners never get bored - the menu changes every 6 weeks to use the freshest local Scotish ingredients.

Review
We arrived after the last of the christmas crowds had left so dined on our own but the staff ensured the whole thing was a relaxing experience. The food was good and obviously made from fresh, quality ingredients with the staff managinged to be attentive without beiing intrusive and the chef, even at this late stage in the day, was happy to adjust their dessert menu to suit my tastes. I think we would both visit the restaurant again.

We went to Martin Wishart at Home House on 30th Dec. The food was superb - very interesting and very very tasty. Service was attention but not instructive. The restuarant and upstairs bar is funky and well decorated. Our only criticism was that on the night we went it was v v quiet and therefore lacked ambience. We were assured by staff that this was solely due it being the night before new years eve - not sure if this is the caseReview
We had a truly yummy lunch at home house's martin wishart just before new year and were really impressed. Service was very friendly and efficient; the decor was seriously stylish - the fire was a lovely touch - Georgian combined with the cutting-edge. Loved the lush pink flock banquettes! Food was very good. Offer wasn't including glass of wine - toptable needs to change that. But still represented excellent value - choice from a la carte menu. Top wine list. Unpretentious. We'll be back.Visitors
