About Manneken
Named for Brussels’ premier tourist attraction, Manneken café is also a major stop for travelers to the Ilot Sacre preserved historic district. Set near the Grand Place, Manneken offers a warm typically Brussels welcome, with cranberry coloured walls, glazed tiles, crackling open fireplace, scrubbed wooden floors and tables, charmingly mismatched chairs, chandeliers, and a cosy mezzanine level. The menu features dishes like starter of pan-fried prawns in garlic butter, main course of grilled beef entrecote with aubergine tomato, and crème brulee. Classic Brussels dishes like mussels, waterzooi with chicken, and waffles are here too, and, as it’s open daily from 10 am, it’s an excellent choice for meeting friends any time of day.
On arrival, please inform the restaurant that your booking was made via toptable.

Manneken is in a great location being just off the Grand Place in Brussels. We went there for a quiet dinner on New Years Eve. Quiet it was, a little too quiet as we had to prompt the waiters for any service whatsoever, and they made a point of leaving us out of any of the nights festivities. A relatively expensive meal and not good value for money. The ambience should have been good but they started up a country band a few minutes before midnight so we rushed off. Wouldn't go there again.Review
Located just by Grand Place, Manneken Restaurant was able to provide a separate dining area for 20 birthday guests. The service was attentive however slow to begin. Nothing on the menu was out-of-stock and everyone received what they had ordered quickly and without error. The food was fresh with traditionally large portions. The TopTable description for this restaurant set all of the right expectations. We would definitely return for another meal.Review
My friends and I lunched at the Mannekin in November 2007. Itwas a cold damp day in Brussels and the warm open fire in the restuarnt made for a perfect and welcoming atmosphere. The food was good. It is not paricularly sophisticated cuisine but all of us enjoyed our dishes and certianly had no complaints. I would call the service relaxed rather than slow which was a pleasasnt change to the hustle sometimes experiened. I would return and one of my friernds has already made a bookingVisitors
