About Malmaison Brasserie - Newcastle
At the heart of Newcastle's regenerated lively quayside district,
Malmaison's Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The
highly chic brasserie is all about style and comfort, with individual booths to cosy
up in. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room
is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef Ray Brown has overall
direction on the seasonal A la Carte menu, whilst Head Chef, Peter Svanberg
brings you the Home Grown and Local menu, using the freshest produce available
in the North East. Dishes include char-grilled côte de boeuf with au poivre sauce,
salmon and cod fishcake with buttered spinach and sorrel sauce. For those of you
with a sweet tooth, be sure to try the malmaison crème brûlée with a cheeky glass
of muscat.

Lovely restaurant, quality food and good atmosphere and value for money when you consider the drinks bill. Had a pre-meal cocktail in the lovely bar overlooking the millenium bridge. Would definelty go again. Shame about the constant rain over the whole weekend, but you can't blame toptable for the weather !!!!

Booked a table for a birthday meal with my partner at Malmaison, Newcastle. We chose from the locally produced food menu which was very reasonably priced. The meal was lovely, the staff very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere very great. Lovely venue and will definitely be making another visit soon. Have recommended it to friends and family.Review
We booked for a special occasion having seen the special offer on toptable. It was good that the menu used local produce although we were disappointed that we needed to pay for vegetables separately. The wine list was pricey and the food good but in small portions. The restaurant is very dark and access is not easy for anyone with a disability. However the service was excellent.Visitors
