About Maghreb Moroccan Restaurant
This may be North London but you could easily be forgiven for thinking you have been transported to North Africa when you step into Maghreb. A bit like setting foot in a souk with lots of Moroccan pottery and artefacts. Hoards of loyal Islington customers make this a popular North London hangout. What's cooking? Moroccan fare, of course. Mixed meze, spicy lentil and pumpkin tagine, vegetables couscous, aromatic duck served on a bed of couscous and beetroot salad, baghrir - a kind of pancake served with honey and butter and Moroccan coffee or mint tea.
Opening hours:
Mon-Sun 6.00pm-11.30pm

The restaurant was pleasent unfortunatly very over heated, by the end of the main course we just wanted to get out. My partner had the fish and cous cous salad, not very nice.He followed with the lamb shank which he said was delicious. I had the soup which was very filling followed by the mixed kebabs.the lamb was horrid , the salad was smothered in olive oil which ruined it .My main was dissapointing. However it was beautifuly presented on a morrocan patterned plateReview
great food and very friendlyReview
Maghreb Moroccan Restaurant is an enjoyable experience but nothing out of the ordinary, and it probably doesn't peak off compared to the rest of resturants on offer in Islington. The portions were generous and the food tasty but not as flavoursome and eye popping as I expectedVisitors
