Maceo was an excellent choice for New Year in Paris. Would definitely go back again the next time we visit. Staff very friendly, food was delcious. Only complaint was the band...entertaining but not in a good way.

We went to Maceo on New Year's Eve 07. It was a wonderful set menu and they did very well to accomodate us for our romantic meal for two, even if the jazz in the background was rather dubious. It was however very expensive indeed and I would check prices before going again. Very nice caraffe of champagne, fruity red and tasty food. One to look out for.

We went to Maceo for lunch and we had prebooked through toptable. We had a very enjoyable meal nice subtle flavours with excellent presentation. The staff were attentive but not overbearing and they all were knowligable about what they were serving. The restuarant is simple but stylish and the atmosphere was buzzing. All in all we had a great time and we will return.

we went to Maceo for our anniversary on Tuesday Dec 4th. The service and food were superb, they gave us the best table overlooking the palais royal gardens which was picture card perfect, they also brought a desert with a candle for my wife which made it even more special, highly recommend this restaurant and we will return.

the welcome at maceo was very good by the owner, after that it went down hill fast. the waitress never spoke a word , she just plonked down a small glass of orange liquid we had to ask the wine waiter what it was.The first course of gambas was nice but the main courses were dreadful, my steak was pink in the middle which should have indicated

I've dined at Maceo several times and enjoyed the experience, except on my most recent visit. The menu offers a wide selection including vegetarian selection. As a table of 4, we dined early, around 19:30. The wait staff were inattentive and the food, largely forgetable. Only the desert was exceptional. It was a disappointing meal at a "formerlly" well liked restaurant.

Restaurant Maceo. Attractive restaurant with small but good-sounding menu. Not so good was my partner's steak - so tough it was inedible and also the temperature of the food which was lukewarm for both of us. Restaurant manager changed steak without question, but if offering a small menu it must ALL be excellent.

This was our first visit to Macéo and we had a very enjoyable evening. The food was solid and well presented, but it was the extremely professional and pleasent staff that will ensure that we return in the future. The restaurant was reasonably lively and was well respresented by locals. The only slightly dissapointing aspect was that while they had our booking, we were seated in the more 'bistro' part of the restaurant. This was perfectly pleasant, but you may want to specify when booking.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
