About Lotus
Lotus restaurant/bar/club was one of the first to assay Manhattan’s now super-trendy Meatpacking district and it did it with style and brio. Before 11 pm, Lotus is a smart restaurant and bar peopled by diners and club-goers of the non-funky variety – you’ll see smart suits and toned flesh everywhere. The warm caramel and chocolate coloured décor is warmed up with pools of light and the overall theme is international Asian. The menu is Asian inspired, primarily Thai and Vietnamese but with inspirations from all over the East. Do try one of the Lotus signature cocktails, the Lotus Flower Martini or the Soju Lychee Martini. To eat, try a starter of Spicy Tuna Summer Roll, then sliced Vietnamese Pork Chop served with taro root puree and Asian pear-apple sauce, followed by homemade Banana-Coconut and Taro-Ricotta Donuts with warm chocolate dipping sauce. The fun wine list features smaller wineries and changes often. After midnight, the crowd makes its way to the upstairs lounge or downstairs club and stays and stays and stays.Booking Tip: Please try to make your New York booking at least 48 hours in advance.

Lotus is more of a club than a restaurant, and they wouldn't let us dine with TT until 9.30pm. Food was OK but a bit pricey, but the service was good.Review
Lotus was excellent and interesting pan asian cuisine. Good value. Hint - don't order too much the portions are VERY generous - the braised lamb was perfect with perfect little chapatis. Excellent cocktails tooReview
Very much a place to go to while in New York, but very definately a club first and a restaurant second. Great wines, but food a little too fussy. Also, would be nice if you could see what you are eating.Visitors
