A favourite Italian restaurant with lots of regular clientele in the Gray's Inn Road. Exceptionally friendly staff help to make this a draw for local businessmen, media types and solicitors. Lots of fresh choices and delicious pizzas including the chance to design your own.
What's cooking: Italian/French fare. Signature dishes include Linguine Allo Scoglio, risotto funghi and tagliolini - with fresh grilled vegetables

L'Osteria 57 is a great little local with delicious food made from fresh ingredients. The service was just right and the family-run friendly atmosphere was refreshing especially for a get-together with a friend near work before Christmas. Highly recommended.

not a bad spot. very grim downstairs, though and there's no mention of which part of the resto you can choose when you book. it's v squishy. too many tables for the space available. that said, the lovely staff did move me upstairs when i requested it, even though they were very busy and fully booked. good food, just a bit hemmed in.
