About Little Hallingbury Mill
On a lovely tributary of the River Stort, Little Hallingbury Mill is absolutely loaded with the charm and serenity of the countryside – and it’s only ten minutes from Stansted. The restaurant is traditional, comfortable and right for both business and romance. The menu features a modern British, seasonally changing menu with an Italian accent. And if you love it so much you don’t want to leave, you can stay the night in one of the characterful rooms. Watch your head. That reminds us -- great bar, too. There is now a carvery on saturdays from 7.15pm.
Please note for bookings over 6 credit card details are reuired and a £20 deposit.
Opening hours:
Tues - Thurs 7pm - 9pm, Fri - Sat 7pm - 9pm Sun 12pm - 3pm
No old mill could be complete without a ghost and Little Hallingbury Mill is certainly complete. One of the owners is even on a first-name basis with a spirit called Jack.

Little Hallingbury Mill on a Friday night is a lovely place to be, close to the river and boat moorings, beautiful views across the fields and a cosy, bistro, candlelit atmosphere. Food is imaginative, well presented and good quality and the staff are very involved in the place and anxious to please. A lovely evening overall.Review
Little Hallingbury Mill, I should have known as soon as we entered, we were and remained the only diners. This was Saturday night, and the only menu was for a carvery pork or beef. The food was low average and if I wanted a sunday roast I would have waited until Sunday, at another venue the same dinner would have cost half the price and more enjoyable. This is the lowest rating I have ever given by miles for a Toptable restuarant. Its a non starter in my books.Review
