Didn't seem to be enough staff at Lieve and the service was pretty slow. Food was Ok though very heavy. Very nice decor inside - it's a very nice space.

The place is perfect for a quiet dinner, and it is situated in a very centrated place in the city. Maybe the only negative thing I have to comment is the timming between first course and the second course, it is too much...

A great night out. We chose the 'tapas style' and between 4 of us we shared 6 starters, 8 mains and 6 desserts. A great range of new foods to try and I will definitely go back. The only downside was that it was quite warm and the time between starters and mains was a little long.

Lieve is a very different kind of restaurant, you can choose three different eating styles, we chose the one where you got more but smaller plates and shared them all. A good choice. There was plenty of food for both of us, but we did also get delicious french fries as side dishes with the food. Their waffles with white chocolate mousse were the best ever and we quickly asked for another even though we were stuffed, at 76€ it was more than 4 of us ate for at Waaghals. But it was worth it!

Dining at Lieve was a unique experience. They offered 3 types of set menu and we chose the Belgium Baroque which you can choose 3-4 dishes for each course to share. It was like a tasting menu and the food was delicious. Services tends to take longer than usual because of the numbers of the dishes need to be served, but it was not too bad at all.

The best thing about Lieve is the atmosphere. The different dining areas combining large parties and couples give it a very special ambience. Our food was distinctly average although nothing to complain about. Service is slow but we really didn't have a problem with that either as it's quite a fun place to sit, chat and observe, until it took 45 mins to get a coffee and the bill after we'd finished eating.

Make sure you are hungry when you go to Lieve. The food was delicious and left us so stuffed we couldn't manage dessert. Gutted!

The price looks great - until you get the bill and you realize it's *per person*! If you plan ahead and have the cash to spend, it's an amazing night out. Given that the Dutch don't eat their own cuisine, this Belgian restaurant is the closest you'll come. The 2nd choice of atmospheres (taster menu between 2) is the way to go; the portions are _miniscule_, but the flavor combinations are truly special. Try some of their fine beer/wine pairings or go with a classic Dutch brew. Delicious!

Had a really enjoyable meal, tasty food and friendly staff. Excellent eating environment, lush furnishings and very reasonable price. The location is not touristy which is good but it's still convenient. We really liked Lieve!
