About Le Bistrot Niel
Please note that Le Bistrot Niel will be closed on Saturdays during the months of July and August.
Not far beyond the Arc de Triomphe, chef Bruno Gensdarmes, for many years under the direction of Guy Savoy, has come into his own kitchen and created this welcoming, modern bistro. The grey and cream decor is smart in the contemporary style with a sprinkling of red poppy details alongside the shiny chrome. The menu is smart and modern too, and changes every day, but can feature dishes like starter of country terrine in the bistro style, main course of breast of chicken cooked in tagine with crystallised lemon, and dessert of Gensdarmes own tiramisu. The tables are full of business folk and those who love the delights of the table and the ambience bubbles with witty conversation.
Upon arrival, please inform the restaurant that your booking was made via toptable.
Opening hours:
Mon - Fri 12pm - 2:30pm & 8pm - 11pm Sat 8pm - 11pm Sun closed all day

Despite a name change and a shift in menu style (no more tasting menu, sadly) the quality of the food was very good and the staff and atmosphere of high standard too. A very good place for a mid-range meal in Paris. Recommended.Review
We found the restaurant to be good. The courgette risotto to start was excellent, the main course of pork fillet in a pea and ham stew was good but very expensive for the quality of the dish. The meal was saved however with some delicious deserts. Considering the Paris restaurants this does rank highly amongst them.Review
