About Lal Qila
Lal Qila is on Rusholme’s Curry Mile along Wilmslow Road (Manchester’s answer to Brick Lane). It’s a large, relatively upmarket restaurant over two floors. The food is best described as Pakistani. Because everything is made to order, your dish can be as spicy or unspicy as you like it - a flexibility much appreciated by the locals, judging by the half Asian, half White British crowd filling the floor. Chef’s specials like the chicken chilli, lamb methi and chicken handi are very popular, as well as his ‘sizzler’ dishes. You’ll find all your traditional curry house favourites too, and accompanying Indian beers. Service is swift from the start when complimentary poppadoms are brought to your table. And the five-sauce chutney try is just 30p a person.
Opening hours:
Mon - Sun: 12pm - 12am

Lal Qila is located with many other Indian restaurants but is one of the better ones. Food very tasty and well prepared but for the fact that it had a little too much oil for our liking. All in all a good experience. Staff are very helpful and attentative.Review
La Quila was a brilliant night the food was excellent and the service was very goodReview
I had a very nice experience at Lal Qila. My partner and I had a chicken tandoori sizzler with rogan josh sauce. The service was quick considering how busy it was and the food was gorgeous. Oh and you never needed to ask for a top-up as the waiters noticed the fullness of your glasses haha.Visitors
