About La Favorita Restaurant
La Favorita Restaurant, nestled in the bustling Leith Walk, is known to many locals as the best pizzeria in Edinburgh. With its bright, fuss-free dining room, friendly Italian staff and award-winning pizzas, it’s easy to see why. The restaurant is family-friendly, with a resident balloon-bending clown on hand at weekends, and birthday cakes at the ready. Favourites from the wood-fired ovens include the Fiorentina pizza with spinach and egg, the Viennese pizza with pork sausage and sliced potatoes and the folded calzones with spicy salami. The ice cream stand is well-stocked whatever the season, and La Favorita’s famous tiramisu, big enough to share, is not to be missed.

La Favorita and its owner Tony Crolla were honoured in 2005 with an award from the Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food Association.

Review
A group of us, 2 adults and 4 student kids, went to La Favorita before the recent Hibs v Hearts derby match. While our attention was mainly directed to the forthcoming match we still managed to appreciate a restaurant which was very good value for money. The service and the food were both above average and the portions were generous enough to challenge 4 hungry student kids. Overall, a very good value dining experience.

Went to La Favorita during a short break to Ediburgh. Friendly Italian waiters, good food, large helpings, and authentic Italian dishes with slight twists. Very nice Pizza and Pasta.Visitors
