About La Era
The Restaurante La Era is located in the village of Yaiza, which belongs to the southern region of the Island with the same name. Yaiza has 3,500 inhabitants and is one of the nicest villages of Lanzarote because of its white houses and its geographic proximity to the National Park of Timanfaya. The gardens and the magical wine cellar of Restaurante La Era are worthy of a visit, as are the charming sitting rooms (the oldest is more than 300 years old) where you can find some of César Manrique's frescos dedicated to fishing, agriculture, and the growing of grapevines, in other words, to the way of life in Lanzarote before tourism came along. The local festival celebration (Virgen de los Remedios) is on 8 September. Founded in 1969.
