About La Cave Restaurant
The romantic La Cave Restaurant & Wine Bar is nestled away on a cobbled alleyway where it boasts views of historic Southwark Cathedral. An authentic slice of France, La Cave is where French ex-pats, City execs and loved up couples enjoy the extensive and good value wine list, covering fine examples of classic and lesser known grapes, in the large wine bar before moving on to the restaurant which offers a rustic yet elegant cuisine. In the summer months, why not enjoy a chilled glass of white while sharing a lush platter of cheese and cured meats or delicate hot bites on the terrace patio, stretching the width of the picturesque cathedral gardens.

La Cave is not a restaurant to visit if you are in a hurry but if you want to kick back and relax over a long lunch of excellent food this is the place. It took an hour from arrival to getting our starter, retrospectively I would have liked to have ordered and sat in the bar until the starters were ready. If you are a foodlie this is definatley worth a visit.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant! The food is stunning, the location beautiful, and the size of the dining room appropriately intimate. The service was fantastic - attentive, but not over-fussy or starched. Can't wait to return!!Review
La Cave is tucked away behind pizza express right next to Southwark Cathedral. Bit of trouble finding it but were impressed with the setup/ decor once located. The food was very good. Rich flavours and good variety of French fare. The wine list was thoughtful and the wine we chose was well received. The service, on the other hand, was awful. Unfortunate really as the food is so good. So many things were wrong with the service I can't list them all but the rating of 1 is as good as they could getVisitors
