Le Belle Histoire was an eclectic mix of decor however on some on the tables there was a vase with goldfish in, not sure I would have liked to eaten my food with a fish looking at me. The foie gras was well presented and very tasty and the duck was cooked to perfection, the chef even had time to personalise each plate! We were offered extras such as canapes to start and a palate cleanser before desert which was a nice touch. Reserve a table as the small tables are very small.

La Belle Histoire is a lovely little restaurant with a very relaxed and Mediterranean feel. The décor is simple and warm and the food is excellent. There are two rooms to chose from. The one at the front is more for couples, and the one at the back more for groups. The place felt so relaxed we could have stayed there much longer...

La Belle Histoire was a nice date night out in Lille! Loved the decor and the place was very full with happy frenchies! Meals were small with not too much on the plate, but definately full after 3 courses. The desserts were absolutely delicious - strawberry crumble and the mango panna cotta - mm!! Extra little touches were nice such as free appetiser and mini shot glass size mousse after the main. Very accommodating to non french speakers. All in all, pleasant night out!

we booked La Belle Histoire as we know how difficult it can be to get a table in Lille on a Saturday night. we were not disapppointed. The cooking was good, the service and atmosphere discreet and we weren't rushed through our meal.

La Belle Histoire - Lille. Excellent evening, food very well presented and tasted great. For starters I had foie gras with figs and port wine, my wife had tomatoes, goats cheese and basil crumble - both excellent. For main course we both selected the duck with honey and citrus fruit sauce. again another fantastic presentation that promised bags of flavour and delivered. After a complementary sorbet, I opted for chocolate ravioli and my wife had 'crunchy chocolate banana' both again fantastic.

We went to La Belle Histoire for my birthday last week. The restaurant was on the smallish side but was very nicely decorated. I had the steak and my husband had the duck. Both dishes were gorgeous and good sized portions. We had a nice bottle of wine that we let the waiter choose for us due to not knowing the wines on the list very well. They also brought us out some free cream and berry pre-pudding pallet cleansers that were lovely. All and all a lovely place to eat and great service!(found 6 reviews)
