About Knife and Cleaver

The dark panelled bar with its open log fire is an ideal place to sit for pre or post dinner drinks and serves over 26 wines by the glass and a choice of 20 malt whiskies.

The Knife & Cleaver is a very good pub/restaurant. We all ended up with dishes off the set menu, 3 courses for £24. Little touches such as appetisers with your drinks in the bar and nibbles with the coffee all help to make this an above average establishment. Very odd to find it nearly empty on our visit on a Friday evening.Review
We had a lovely meal at the Knife and Cleaver and felt thoroughly spoilt by the staff. The setting is lovely and I would heartily recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food and excellent service.Review
As always the restaurant and front of house welcome fantastic, in the main the food was good too, the only issue I had this time was that the batter on the fish was very oily. Thursdays have set menus which are very good value for money and would certainly recommend them.Visitors
