About Kitley House Hotel and Restaurant
Kitley House restaurant near Plymouth is set in a 500-year old country house hotel overlooking a lake. Sumptuously antique without being stuffy, its décor is burgundy and gold with marble pillars and wooden floors. The modern British menu changes throughout the week and is packed with seasonal, organic and exclusively local produce from Devon & Cornwall. Try kicking off with garlic mussels in a herb crust, then bring on the tender duck breast, whose entourage includes mille-feuille of rosti potato, spiced red cabbage, fine green beans and a thyme jus. Baked chocolate cheesecake with an orange and Cointreau ice-cream is to die for. In warm weather you can dine out on the terrace.
Opening hours:

Kitley House and Restaurant, situated in a very old manor House in extensive grounds. Beautiful surroundings, the main restaurant being in need of a little decoration but very pleasant nonetheless. Food very good and service excellent - the sunday lunches look like a good plan and I intend to book in the near future.Review
For my second meal at Kitley house I stuck to the 'everyday' menu and tried the local organic gammon with pineapple. It was tasty and succulent, but a bit expensive.Review
Kitley House restaurant was a lovely experience. The ambience and service were both excellent. The choice of food was varied and we did not feel at all rushed. The view of the grounds added to the whole expereince. I would throughly recommend this restaurant and the hotel. Top marks!!Visitors
