About Kiplings at Bush Hall
Kiplings is the restaurant of Bush Hall in Mill Green outside Hatfield. Originally Elizabethan, Bush Hall has been restored and developed to become a large, gracious country house that aims to make you feel like the lord of the manor (and if you want to make a real entrance, it comes complete with its own heli-pad). Decorated in restful, muted colours offset by glowing wood paneling, Kiplings is a calm and orderly restaurant overlooking the lovely gardens. Start off with scallop ravioli with warm gazpacho sauce or goat’s cheese bon-bon with a smoked olive scone and home-made tomato jam. For mains, try the meltingly-tender calves liver with colcannon or delicate fillet of plaice with braised root vegetables and carrot purée. As for puddings, who could turn down the likes of warm pecan pie with whisky ice-cream and milk chocolate sauce, or crispy lemon meringue stack with strawberry sauce?

We visited Kiplings at Bush Hall on December 8th 2007. It was a pleasure from start to finish, we started in a beautifully christmas decorated lounge area by a roaring fire with teddys hanging from Christmas trees. The staff were polite and attentive, the food was very tasty, I had the venison that was cooked to perfection, the menu had plenty of choice for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The wine menu was very varied and I couldn't fault the place exspecially as it was very local to us.

Kiplings at Bush Hall Superb night! 60th birthday party for my Mum, we hadn't told the staff but they were very attentive and treated Mum really well, even piping Happy Birthday in icing on her plate and providing a complementary glass of champagne. Food was really enjoyable, roasted baby chicken was excellent as was the wine. Thorouhly enjoyed the evening!Review
