About Kew Grill
"Retro is back!" exclaims chef Antony Worrall Thompson, and it most certainly is at his Kew Grill in Richmond. Real food for real people without the fuss, just excellent quality in a relaxed environment. Priding themselves on serving the very best of British, all meat is hung and butchered on the premises, and even the veg is pulled just hours before serving from the restaurant's own organic plot. Overly garnished designer food is dead -- long live retro.

First time at Kew Grill. After reading previous reviews our expectations were quite high, I'm glad to say that my expectations were fully met. Would recommend AWT @ Kew Grill for a great night out - great food, great wine...

I booked the Kew Grill for my fathers Birthday and was excited at the prospect of a meal at a restaurant with so many good reviews on Toptable - however on arrival, despite recieving confirmation of the booking, our reservation had been cancelled. An alternative in the Barnes restaurant was offered but by this point we had had enough - moved on to a nearby pub with excellent food & service and I won't being trying the Kew Grill again as little attempt was made to rectify their error.Review
Although my wife & I are vegetarians, we booked the Kew Grill as one of our party is a very fussy meat eater! Couldn't have made a better choice... great ambience, great attentive service, great food (if somewhat limited if you are a veggie) & a great evening had by all - highly recommend it!!Visitors
