About Kerala Bhavan
Every item on Kerala Bhavan’s menu is made with Indian herbs and spices that have been especially imported from India for this Croydon restaurant. Specialising in dishes from both North and South, Keral Bhavan aims to recreate Indian food as it is served in Indian homes. North Indian staples mingle with more unusual offerings like fish tikka, and south Indian specialities include rasam (a vigorously spiced and peppered soup) and parippu (Keralan green lentil) curry. Don’t miss the masala dosa – crisp, paper-thin pancakes rolled around a spicy potato mix, served with a fiery sambal on the side – or the thicker uttapam, embedded with onions, chillies and peppers. There’s a great-value set menu at lunchtime: for around £7 you get a choice of mutton, chicken, vegetable, sambar or keema curry served with rice or nan as well as and a drink. Try going back to work after that lot.
Opening hours:
Sun-Thurs, Dinner 6.00-11.00 Fri - Sat 6.00 -12.00 Mon - Sun, Lunch 12.00-3.00

As usual Kerala Bhavan did not disappoint. The food was well prepared and the service good. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended! MNReview
Although a regular eater of Indian food, I always come back to this restaurant - it takes the premium. Croydon is now vying with Tooting as 'curry capital' of south London and this restaurant is in the forefront.Review
Great dosa at Kerala plus all the usual. The staff make you feel as if you are in India. Also the chick pea dish was really tasty. We also found you can customise the level of spiciness of the dishes. This place is not glam but cannot be beaten for value and has a certain sweet charm.Visitors
