About Itihaas
Itihaas restaurant in Birmingham is one stunning eaterie. This beautiful restaurant —the name means ‘history’ -- is the £2 million brainchild of businessman Raj Rana and it’s been raking in awards since it opened its doors. The décor is contemporary meets traditional with two dining rooms honouring colonial and maharaja eras – there are slate finished walls, original paintings, carved stone elephants, Jali marble window frames like those found in Mogul palaces and elegant black sari-clad hostesses. Chef Amardeep Saka offers intriguing dishes influenced by North India, Mumbai, Chinese fusion and Kenya. The cuisine and service are royal, yet the ambience is relaxed and informal – a history-making combination in anyone’s book.

If you enjoy Indian cuisine or Fusion Indian this is a venue that you must must must visit. I had the christams lunch 4 courses for £15, we spent £25 per head with drinks and tip but it's money well spent. I'm going back very soon.. you will not be dissapointed.Review

I book a table at Itihaas for my boyfriends birthday I had asked to be placed in a nice seat as this was a special occasion. We turned up and was not greeted was just told to sit down. We sat on the sofa in the bar area for 10 mins, was then told they had a table ready I mentioned that i had booked a table to the waiter who just shrugged his shoulders at me. We were sat on a tiny table in the middle of groups of people, waiters were really miserable and pushy we had a beer and left.Visitors
