About Inn on the Green
From the outside the Inn on the Green looks like a charming country hostelry, possibly with quaint furniture and crackling log fires, not to mention something for the hungry traveller to eat. Inside, however, you'll find not only the charm of that fantasy country inn, modern conveniences and the genius of Michelin-starred chef Garry Hollihead masterminding the kitchen. If you
liked Embassy in London, you'll find you love the same extraordinarily high level of cooking, drinks and service here in the lovely Berkshire countryside. The dining room itself is spread over three rooms, including a charming conservatory, and in summer there will be plenty of seating al
fresco. The menu features dishes like fillet of venison "Wellington" with truffle sauce, sea bass, lemon thyme and parsley risotto and baby squid with tomato butter sauce. Fab wines, great service, wonderful ambience. Come for dinner, stay for the weekend.

The quality of the food at the Inn on the Green was spectacular - we went there to celebrate getting engaged that day, and were thoroughly impressed with the experience, and would definitely recommend it. Only minor critique was that we were seated in the conservatory part of the dining room, which is slightly out of keeping with the rustic charm of the rest of the bar and dining facilities. This and its size meant that the ambiance was a little uncomfortable with just us and one other dinerReview
Inn on Green has various nooks and crannies that make it feel small and cosy. Food and Service superb when you arrive but not easy to find!!Review
