About Il Vicolo
Well established and very attractive italian restaurant popular with media and business types. Renowned for its warm atmosphere, attentive staff and excellent food. Very authentic and a world away from the bustle of St James. What's cooking: Mediterranean cuisine. Plenty of fish and seafood - signature dishes include crab salad with fresh asparagus, fresh mussels sauteed in garlic, white wine and tomato, freshly home made square pasta stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese in a walnut sauce, grilled king prawns with white wine, chilli and garlic.

Mon - Fri 12.00pm - 2.30pm, 6:15 - 10.00pm.

A bustling, authentic Italian tucked away in St. James's. It's great for a business lunch being both relaxed but with an excellent menu and prompt service.

Il Vicolo is one of my favourite Italian restaurants in London. The great thing about it is that the food is completely authentic, not adapted for the English market and not unduly pretentious. The service is friendly and enthusiastic. The locale, tucked away in a Dickensian alley (vicolo) in the heart of St James's, is also a plus. Prices are quite high, but it's worth it. Two of us had a delicious dish with lemon sole and artichokes in a lemon sauce.Review
