About Hotel du Vin - Winchester
The Bistro at the Hotel du Vin in Winchester is exactly where the whole stylish, witty, wine-loving hotel group began, in one of the town’s most important Georgian buildings, dating from 1715. The Bistro offers a menu rooted in classic European cuisine with a contemporary edge augmented with daily additions from head chef Matt Sussex. The Hotel du Vin’s famous funky-chic décor is in evidence here with wooden tables and chairs, open fireplace, period paneling, and collections of wine bottles everywhere. The wine list is, of course, extensive and eclectic, with many available by the glass. Enjoying the intimate ambience? Stay the night in one of the 24 individually-decorated rooms.

Hotel du Vin's Christmas menu was delicious. The service was spectacular and the atmospehere was perfect. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We went to the Hotel Du Vin in Winchester for my fiance's birthday, we booked in advance as it was December and didn't really have any idea on what to expect, but it was lovely, the food was excellent and the overall restaurant was fab, the food was amazing and some interesting choices but not too expensive for a lovely mealReview
We really enjoyed our evening at Hotel du Vin in Winchester. The food was good, the sommelier's recommendations were excellent. The waiting staff were very good, although clearly over-stretched. The description of the cheese board was most memorable moment of the evening.Visitors
