About Hotel du Vin - York
The Hotel du Vin Bistro restaurant in York is something new and fabulous on the local dining scene. This multi award-winning hotel and restaurant group brings its stylish magic to a Grade II listed building in The Mount area of York, just over the river from the bustling town centre. The dining room has all the signature touches of HdV Bistros – respect for the room’s historic details, contemporary design that’s both exciting and relaxed, and a menu rooted in classic European cuisine with a contemporary edge featuring daily selections by head chef Nicco Cecchella using fresh local produce. The eclectic, exciting wine offers tons by the glass as well as irresistible daily wine specials.
Please note that there is a limited amount of parking at this venue. In the evenings, parking is reserved for residents only.

The hotel’s exquisite Laroche Wine Tasting Room is one of only four such rooms outside of France and accommodates up to 10 lucky wine tasters at a time.

Amazing and impressive drinks list with a superb wine list as well. Food was very nice indeed and the chef obliged in my special dietary requirements which was a big plus.

Food - very good, small/medium portions, good quality although quail had a few small bones in the meat Service - could've been a little more prompty, but generally very good. Wine waiter was very good and helped me to choose a nice-tasting wine that went well with the meail Value for money - not bad, 2 courses + 1/3 bottle of wine = £40 Ambience - good, would suit romantic evenings and casual dinners with friends/familyReview
