About Hotel du Vin - Bristol
The Bistro restaurant at the Hotel Du Vin, Bristol is part of a Grade II listed warehouse building dating back to the 1700s. The traditional style seen in the appearance of the building is also reflected in the Bistro’s menu, although a contemporary edge is also given to array of European cuisine on offer, with simple classic dishes shifting seasonally and head chef Marcus Lang providing his own unique recipes each day. Opened in 1999, the Bistro restaurant welcomes diners seven days a week for lunches and dinners consisting of the finest in local produce (see the self explanatory yet carefully created Land, Sea and Local Menu). Hotel du Vin is always of a consistantly high standard and even though this was the first time we had visited on a Saturday when it was extremely busy it was lovely to see that the standard was still as high. The menu is of an very high standard and interestingly varied as it changes constantly on a season basis which means anyone could visit the bistro quite frequently and still be spoiled for choice. Lovely evening.Review
Went before a concert a Colston Hall. Were greeted immediately at the bar with offers for drinks. Mentioned we needed to be out by 7.15 pm and we were served with our two course meal in an unrushed manner. The setting with the low lighting made it a very intimate setting and I would certainly go again as the meal was excellent.Review
The experience of dining at Hotel Du Vin Bristol was nothing less than exquisite. From the moment we arrived we received service of at the level you would expect from the best of restaurants. The meal was the best we have had for some time and we would recommend this venue without hesitation.Visitors
