About Harbour Restaurant at The Metropole Hotel
The Harbour Restaurant in Padstow has the perfect name, as you can hardly lift your eyes without seeing the majestic vistas of the lovely harbour, charming village and Camel estuary. Set in an imposing Victorian hotel with comfy lounges and fireplaces, this award-winning restaurant is in the extremely capable hands of chef Adam Warne, who has recently taken the reins and aims to continue and grow the reputation of the modern British menu. The elegant dining room decorated in traditional style, in keeping with the era of the hotel, is extremely comfortable. In winter and busy times, an indoor terrace overlooking the river comes into use. As this is Padstow, the daily-changing menu draws inspiration from the sea.
A credit card is required to reserve a table for 10 or more, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. A fee of £10 per person will be charged for a cancellation within 5 days or for a no show

Food was great however the ambience left a lot to be desired - it is a real shame that food as good as this is being served in a dated, lack-lustre, run-down environment with so-so staff who clearly have littel experience. Worth a visit for the food and the view but bear in mind the ambience / service shortcomings.

Harbour Rest at Metropole Hotel was great. Arrived very early so had a drink and chat beforehand and were very accomodating, allowing us to preview the menu then. We had 10 ppl so was useful!! Food was delicious and had variety. Also very good value for money and service. Properly done in all ways.
