About Hadley House
Overlooking Wanstead’s beautiful green, Hadley House prides itself on its ‘village and family appeal’. The restaurant is a favourite with locals, and for good reason; the delicious British and European cuisine is complimented by the welcoming and friendly staff, and the relaxed ambience. The minimalist décor, with a chocolate and cream palette and wooden floor throughout, means there are no distractions from what you are there to do: eat good food. At lunchtime, the laidback atmosphere is family- and child-friendly, whilst in the evenings Hadley House becomes more of a romantic and sophisticated dinner destination. We love the Lamb neck fillet with English goats cheese mash and a shallot tatin; and the Pan-fried scallops with rosti potato and pan-fried chorizo.

We had the best time when we dined at Hadley House on Christmas eve. There was a big party in, so we were warned that service would be slower than expected, but the apologies were really not necessary as the aperitifs were delicious, home-made bread crusty, and the menu so tempting that we wouldn't have been able to make a quick decision anyway. I couldn't find a single fault with the food which lived up to the slightly pretentious descriptions, though my husband ate far too much!Review

Hadley House - Wanstead E11. Excellent food, particularly scallops, but also the venison. Good quantity too! Bill came to £75 - 2 courses inc 2 large glasses of wine, bottle of water, 2 coffees and bread and olives too. Good value for the quality and quantity. Worth a visit for a special night out.Visitors
