As always it was wonderful: lively but with enough space to be able to enjoy my friends company rather than that of the table next to us. The food was succulent and full of flavour - the vegetables were particularly delicious and the service was great. I would also recommend the Michelado.

The menu is very short but the food was fresh tasting and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Starters were really small, as was my hake portion but other main courses were generous. Service was attentive and pleasant. Clientele was really mixed. One grumble: they need to crank up the thermostat - most of my group had to keep their coats on throughout the meal.

This is an excellent restaurant for groups. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food, which is placed in the middle of the table for everyone to share, was tasty and well prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its fun and relaxed atmosphere.

I went to Green and Red for my husband's birthday as he wanted "authentic" mexican food and not tex mex. The service was excellent, but I don't think the food lived up to the reviews I've read. My husband is vegetarian and there was only one veggie option, which wasn't great. Having said that, the starters and side dishes were delicious (calamari, bean salad, salsa, guacamole, whitebait). I would probably go again but I was a bit disappointed.

11 friends and I went to the Green & Red Cantina in Bethnal Green to celebrate my birthday. The food and drinks were superb and the staff were attentive and helpful. Given the large group of people at the table, I expected service to be slightly slow but the staff at the Green & Red did not disappoint me. All in all, we had a great night and I will definitely be coming back.

Allegedly (according to the London food blogs anyway) there is a shortage of good quality Mexican food in London. Red & Green must be charging a premium because of this, as I can't see how the prices could be justified otherwise! I've had plenty of better meals for £30 per head (no, not Mexican, fair enough) than last night's £45 per head effort.

A fun place to have a more authentic than usual Mexican meal. The staff were attentive if a little bizarre. The only bad points being that the bar is not open on a Wednesday and the toilets are horrible. However I would go again for the food.

Green & Red does great food and service is lovely. Keep a glass of water handy though - I think I ordered the hottest dish on the menu, which my boyfriend found hilarious! Good stuff though. Will definitely be going back
