About Gran Paradiso
A very well known restaurant that has been providing good value cooking for the last 30 years. The interior is tastefully decorated and the tables are not too crammed together so that you are forced to listen to your neighbours' conversation, whether you want to or not. All this is good news for the many politicians who frequent (it's within reach of the Divisional Bell).
What's cooking?
Original Italian cuisine, in particular specialities from Tuscany. Salads are made with ingredients from the owner Sandro's own garden and fresh fish is delivered twice a day from Brighton.
Opening hours:
Mon - Fri 12.15pm - 2.45pm and 6pm - 10.45pmClosed Sun & Bank Holidays

I have a New Year's Eve dinner in Gran Paradiso with my friends and we very enjoyed the meal and the warm atmosphere there. Typically Italian food was very tasty although little be expensive than we thought (especially a bottle of wine) but it was a New Year's Eve so I think that's ok. The staff were also friendly and funny and I would definitely come back again. Thank you to all Gran Paradiso staff for our very enjoyable evening and VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008 ;0) MiraReview
This was a very good meal with extremely pleasant service. We arrived early but this was no problem and the staff worked around our requirements. Warmly recommendedReview
Gran Paradiso is a great staple if you need a restaurant around Victoria. There's a lovely feeling of personal service and the owners are full of old fashioned Italian charm. We had starters of Tricolore salad and avocado and prawns then a pasta dish each, which were both delicious. More substantial main courses are fairly pricy. The only thing that is a shame is that, because there were two people who wanted our table, we were rushed out of there with the bill brought without us asking for itVisitors
