About Gow's Restaurant
Gow’s Restaurant in the City of London has been serving oysters and seafood since gents wore starchy collars. These days the smart Edwardian interior has been brought up to date and freshened for modern City folk, but the unswerving dedication to high-quality, fresh food is unchanged. If anything, it has been buoyed up by the equally unswerving commitment to excellent wines of the Balls Brothers chain, of which Gow’s is a link. At lunchtime it seems as if the entire population of Tower 42 decants into the buzzing, ground floor bar or the clubby basement dining room. As you’d expect, the wine list has depth and breadth.
Opening hours:
Mon - Fri: 12pm - 3pm & 5pm - 9:30pmClosed weekends & bank holidays
Gow’s Restaurant has been here since 1884 and was the first restaurant in the City to serve an entirely fishy menu.
