About Gidleigh Park
Set on the banks of the North Teign River in a magnificent estate of mature woodland and gardens, Gidleigh Park is surrounded by the wilds of Dartmoor. This small country house hotel boasts a restaurant that is considered to be one of the finest in the country, and holds 2 Michelin stars. Executive Chef Michael Caines and his team are renowned for creating innovative, modern European cuisine, whilst utilising the finest West Country produce and ingredients. Gidleigh Park Restaurant offers an a la carte menu, as well as a Tasting Menu (changes weekly), and a Classic Tasting Menu (seasonal). Be sure to peruse the wine list, which is considered to be one of the finest and most extensive in the country.
A credit card is required to reserve a table of six diners and above, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. A fee of £30 per person will be charged for a cancellation within 48 hours or a no show

Review
After a lovely holiday in cornwall the perfect end was lunch at Gidleigh park, the place is amazing. After being met at the car we were escorted to the terrace (as we were lucky enough to have the most gorgeous weather) for drinks and canapes and a peruse of the menu. Once we had decided we were then taken through to the restaurant and looked after impeccably the food was out of this world and looked amazing. After lunch we had a stroll round the gardens which was the perfect end.

Our lunch experience at Gidleigh Park was excellent from the moment we were met from our car until we left the premises three hours later. A beautiful, warm day enabled us to have canapes and drinks on the terrace before enjoying a fabulous meal. Each course provided such a variety of taste experience and the service was excellent. The staff were very attentive and polite in a friendly way that made us feel relaxed.Review
From start to finish we were made very welcome and valued as guests. The flavours were magnificent. This is nouvelle cuisine so portions were not large but the taste was excellent. the restaurant looks out over its own grounds and dartmoor streams.Visitors
