About Georgetown - London Bridge
Georgetown brings together food from Malaysia, China and the Tamil Indians. The menu is varied and imaginative with unusual combinations of oriental flavours and textures from all around the Far East. Fish meat and poultry are mixed with firey and aromatic spices. By contrast the London Bridge restaurant with its parlour palms, cut crystal and rattan chairs, has a distinctly refined, colonial feel. The room itself is light and spacious and, as you sip your Singapore Sling you could almost feel like a character from a Somerset Maugham novel.
A credit card is required to secure a reservation for groups of 6 - 14 persons, if there is availability - this is simply to secure your booking, absolutely no money will be charged to the card except in the case of late cancellations. Late cancellations (within 24 hours of the reservation) and no-shows will incur a charge of £10 per person
CC req for groups of 15+ for a £10.00 non refundable deposit if more than 10% of the group size cancel outside of 72hrs

The main strength of Georgetown is the menue of interesting dishes,some were excellent but some of the members of our party thought the curries disappointed. The wines were reasonably priced. The restaurant is attached to a hotel and the ambiance has a hotel rather than a restaurant feel.

A lunch for 10 on Boxing Day at Georgetown - we had the place to ourselves - it deserved to be packed. Service was excellent - food selected from the a la carte menu was appetising and very good value. Recommended.Review
Unfortunately, I found that Georgetown was not up to the standard of other toptable restaurants I have visited. In my opinion, the food was uninspiring and the interior was not as good as the photograph on the website suggests. It may be that it was just before Christmas, however this should not really affect the quality of the food. Will not be returning I'm afraid.Visitors
