About Georgetown - Nottingham
Set in beautiful Grade-II listed Colwick Hall just by the Nottingham racecourse, Georgetown offers superb choices among Malaysian, Chinese and Indian cuisine in a setting reminiscent of the colonial years of
what is now Penang. Pillars, potted palms. rattan seating, painted ceiling depicting Venus and cherubs, tinkling grand piano- all these blend to create a stylish dining experience. The menu includes dishes like dim sum appetiser, main course of nasi goreng or lamb biryani, and dessert of fresh pineapple with dark rum, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream.
Opening hours:
Mon - Sun: 12pm - 2.30pm & 6pm - 11pm

The experience was not what I was hoping for. Very average food at not very average prices and an ambience that was spoiled by the exceptionally casual attire of the majority of patrons. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone except the most committed of Malaysian cuisine seeking patrons.Review
Quite on Mon-Wed nights which is when we went...Apart from that it is a fantastic place, delicious, authentic food - really excellent. (We've been to Georgetown, Penang & the food is good there!)Review
The hotel and grounds are beauttiful and the ambiance within the Georgetown - Nottingham was pleasant. The offer of '3 courses & a Singapore sling £20' was good with a wide range of dishes to choose from. However, the food did not look or taste as good at it sounded on paper -particularly the seafood dishes we had. The singapore sling went down well though, so it wasn't a bad evening, but I don't think I would return there and pay full price for dinner. Sorry!Visitors
