About Gascoyne Place
Situated in a unique Grade II listed Georgian building in the heart of Bath, Gascoyne Place has enjoyed many awards and plaudits despite being open for less then a year. Five distinct spaces (from a traditional pub-like corner snug to elegant Georgian dining rooms) could be your setting in which to indulge in a modern British menu that changes twice daily according to quality, availability and season, each ingredient obtained through close links with local farms and fisheries. Located 20 metres from Bath’s Theatre Royal, and overlooking Sawclose Piazza, Gascoyne Place suits pre or post theatre wining and dining marvellously, though not to be outdone, the restaurant hosts its own entertainment with live free jazz sessions from 8.00 every Sunday.
Opening hours:
Mon - Sun: 12pm - 3pm & 5:30pm - 10pm
Gascoyne Place has been Awarded 'Top Restaurant in Bath' for 2007 by Venue magazine

Expensive (but then Bath always is) but very nice meal and nice atmosphere with excellent service.Review
Upstairs dining - lighting & ambience is lovely. Table planning not good as waitress had to ask diners to move to get to us! The order was completely wrong when it arrived after a long wait. Had complimentary glass of wine though I had to suggest it. My steak was tough, the tiny amount of 'jus' was lukewarm and the garlic mash was, well.. 'Smash'. Didn't bother with dessert. Overall not impressed. Would I go back? Er.. probably not. Where? Gascoyne Place, Bath.Review
