If you have the cash to splash out on a lovely meal and great service then you wont be disappointed. Staff are attentive and anticipate your requirements-making sure your glass is topped up etc but, are not intrusive. The room is large and grand, but the tables not on top of eachother and there is space for privacy/ an intimate meal. The menu was delicious, three beautifully cooked courses plus appitiser/ sorbet- well worth the £35 per head. Wine is approx £25+ so budget accordingly. A fab treat

We enjoyed our dinner at the Garden restaurant. It was not cheap but felt like a realy fabulous treat. The restaurant was beautiful if a bit quiet it was midweek- and it was lovely to have the piano played throughout although the tunes were all a bit twee for my taste. Food was great, however the portions were a bit on the large side making it difficult to comfortably manage three course. Deserts- heaven!

Absolutely wonderful evening. Couldn't fault the restaurant (or hotel) at all - will definitely be going back. Was a treat from the complimentary canapes, with a perfectly cooked and presented trout starter and roast carved at the table to the wonderful cheese board. The waitress even putting a candle in the dessert whilst the pianist played a discreet "Happy Birthday" to celebrate my husband's birthday. A great restaurant, others could take note!

We dined at the Grand on a weekend away in Eastbourne. You could not fault the food but it was very traditional and old school which judging by the age of the guests would have been right up their alley. You could see the chef had tried to bring it into the millenium by offering a complimentary lime sorbet but it was served in a massive wine glass so one got RSI trying to delve into it. Still we had a great night and the chateubriand was top notch.(found 10 reviews)
