Be assured: Fresh. owner Eric Tevrow is also owner of Early Morning Seafood, supplier of the freshest seafood in NYC to the restaurants that matter. So that's sorted, then. The interior of this bright, handsome restaurant honours the theme, with sea-coloured walls curved like a ship's hull, beach graphics, and a general salty air, but all in an elegant and sleekly modern way. The TriBeCa casual crowd keep the place buzzing as they enjoy the classic dishes and quirky originals. Try starter of scallop schnitzel with Cape Cod cranberries and aged balsamic, main course of charred 'kobe' yellowfin tuna toro with portobello, rice cake and warm herb vinaigrette, and dessert of French chocolate variations: warm cake, pudding, mousse torte and Earl Grey tea sorbet.Booking Tip: Please try to make your New York booking at least 48 hours in advance.

Fresh was a complete delight! The fish and seafood was extremely fresh and cooked simply - there were no heavy sauces to mask the flavour. The desserts were also very good - my grape sorbet was really delicious, and obviously prepared with care by the pastry chef. One of NYC's finest - well worth a visit!Review
Fresh was competent, but nothing to write home about. We enjoyed our meals, but they were not amazing. Fish here should be amazing- that is all they do! Could not fault freshness of the fish, and the service was good.Review
If you love seafood and find yourself in the south of Manhattan then Fresh comes highly recommended. I particularly enjoyed my starter of fried clams - a new one for me.Visitors
