About Foyer Restaurant and Gallery
Housed in a former church, this much-worshipped restaurant is part of a youth opportunities initiative. So not only do you feel good eating here, you’re doing good to. Such all-round advantageousness suits such a cheerful, contemporary space that doubles as an art gallery where exhibitions by local artists change every six weeks along with the Modern European menu. A light lunch might be an oven-roasted supreme of chicken, creamed leeks and black pudding mash; and dinner a fillet of beef wellington, winter vegetable confit and rosemary creamed potatoes. This is wonderful stuff.

Consistently high quality. Interesting menu, plenty of choice, good value wine list.Review
Foyer was quiet (one other table, soon vacated), and this rather spoiled the ambience. My dietary problems were well handled, and the meal was really very goodReview
Slight under-delivery of food: tuna not cooked as requested (pink) vegetables blend disappointing, and beans almost raw. Foyer's Lemon meringue pie is really excellent!Visitors
