With its breathtaking views of the Edinburgh skyline, the food at the Forth Floor Restaurant has alot to live up to. Well it certainly does not disappoint. Head Chef, Stuart Muir uses local produce wherever possible to create his menu of modern British cooking with a Scottish twist. In the construction of the sixth restaurant in the Harvey Nichols empire they have taken all the best elements from the other five to create a stylish and striking resturant perfect for all occassions. On top of the fantastic food and amazing vistas there is a wine list that will satisfy even the most critical wine connoisseur. With over 350 wines and champagnes from across the globe, many of which are exclusive to Harvey Nichols, there are wines to suite every pocket.

Forth Floor at Harvey Nicks did us proud, on a night when the restaurant was full with Christmas P{arty shoppers. One main course not available, but we were given a very nice alternative.Review
The Forth Floor is a regular eating place for me when I'm Edinburgh. My latest lunchtime visit didn't disappoint but didn't quite hit the heights. I started with seared tuna, which was fine; the main course of roast lamb was excellent and generously portioned, especially accompanied by a mushroom stuffed with garlic, vegetables and wrapped in bacon. I ended with a tasty banana pudding tart, but my partner's mulled wine pannacotta was the dessert to go for. Excellent wine and cocktails to start.Review
