Foliage - Thursday evening. Taster menu was very good, extremely flavoursome and sufficiently varied. A little too much use of 'foam' for my liking however. Service was impeccable and overall ambience was very pleasant - restaurant was not busy though, so I'm sure that helped. Would happily return again.

Foliage at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park was very quiet during our meal there with only 3 tables occupied and yet they rang me to change my preferred booking time. The scaffolding outside the window blocked all views of hyde park folliage and that was a disappointment. The staff as ever were charming but the food was not always hot (tepid oxtail soup with shitake mushrooms and truffle oil) and my wife had a poached egg which was served "intentionally cold" so we were politely informed.

Foliage is a buzzing restaurant and its fun to have drinks at the Mandarin Oriental bar to finish off the evening. The service was excellent even though the food was a bit slow to arrive - the excellent atmosphere however meant that the time passed really quickly. I would definitely recommend it.

Second time Dining in Foliage, and it never fail to impress me with their food. Superb quality and delicious. Pure talent without trying to hard. However on the other hand, service was so so in comparing to my first. In customer service, connecting with you customers is the key. Despite them carrying out their duties in a fancy way, I do not feel the connection. But hey, if you are there for food, BRILLIANT!! Tried the tasting menu this time, it not too big till you cant swallow...

I could not fault anything. The service was great - attentive without being intrusive. The food was fantastic. Especially the lamb and every mouthful of the Halibut was an experience. I have been here several times before I am will keep coming back as every experience has been a good one.

My wife treated me to an early Xmas lunch at Foliage on Wednesday and we both agreed the food combinations within the £34 lunch with two generous glasses of wine were superb, the belly of pork with smoked eel, celery and apple and the gnocchi with sage onion and butternut squash were the pick.The service and the whole dining experience were excellent . I know restaurants try to make their money from the drinks and wine but £29 for 2 bottles of water 1 reg coffee and a kir royal disappointed.

We found Foilage to be a very professional restaurant. From the initial meet and greet and through out the service the staff were very knowledgable and attentive and the food was exciting, exqusitly presented and very enjoyable. We would definately dine here again.

The service was absolutely fantastic - can't say a bad word against it. The food was great and the wine was well recommended. The best restaurant experience I have had in a very long time. Highly recommended.
Eg. italian, Ritz, Benitos, meatballs...
