About Flavio

Flavio restaurant is a Le Touquet institution and long may it wave. Founded just after the war, Flavio attracted the starry, the celebrated, the powerful to its tables to sample brilliant French cuisine in luxurious yet relaxed surroundings. Flavio, alas, has gone but daughter Dany greets you and makes you welcome. The kitchen has moved with the times, but still honours superb ingredients and the genius of its founder. Dishes include Radhingham escargot with smoked garlic soup and julienne of Belotta ham, lobsters and wild fish dishes -- indeed, farmed fish is interdit here, spiced langoustine royale and much more. Various menus will lead you to the best, including the unforgettable lobster menu. You will still find famous faces and fanatical locals here in Le Touquet's Golden Triangle.

Review

Flavio is an old school classic French restaurant, they take their food seriously! But in a good way. Particular emphasis on Fish and speciality of Lobster. Menu in French, but staff very friendly and helpful. This is not a cheap place - definitely for an occasion. Only downside was the wine - all very good - but expensive. We booked for Sunday lunch and had a very pleasant and nicely drawn out "long lunch".

Typically, the menu is in French, but the waiters guide you through it. The wine is delicious, and the food is brilliantly presented. I sat outside on the terrace, lovely ambience and quiet street. Main dishes are expensive but amazing - I can recommend the fish! Wine is equally dear but again, superb. I would go again, without doubt.

Lovely meal but not cheap as well over £300 including wine for 2 adults and a child!
