Good fish (and chips). Set pre-theatre menu was good value at £13.50 for 2 courses (items from the a la carte). Starter of prawns in shells with garlic mayonnaise was lovely (very garlicky!) Only disappointment was the portion of mushy peas which were dry and far to sweet and minty.

This is an excellent restruant within easy walking distance of Sadler's wells. The pre theatre menu was spot on and had the second best fish and chips I have had. The best being in Whitby on the east coast. The booking was very efficient and the service excellent in spite of nearly all the tables being occupied. Would definitely go again when visiting the ballet.

The Fish Shop is a good place to eat, especially if you are going to the Sadlers Wells theatre. The waiters were very helpfully, would definately recommend it

The Fish Shop on St John Street was a little quiet upon arrival, but we were greeted and seated very professionally, on their upper level overlooking the rear garden area, which is lit at night. Service was assured and relaxed, with just the right amount of attention. Wine and food were both of a very high standard, and the sticky toffee pudding desert was easily shareable between two!! This is a perfect venue for a relaxed evening dining on great food in an area that's not spoilt for choice.

Fish Shop was a welcome surprise - although unavailability of menu items was disappointing. Seafood and fish dishes were fresh and well prepared, if prosaic. Excellent wine menu (reasonably priced). Service was excellent but understaffed. This and running out of fish on Friday dinner service hinted that mgmt was not fully on the ball

The Fish Shop on St John's Street is a trendy fish restaurant with good ambience. The food was ok but not great, a bit overpriced for the portions you receive. Service was good and attentive until it gets a little buzy, i think there was only 3 waitresses on a friday night.
