About Emni

Emni restaurant in London’s Upper Street is a sophisticated Indian restaurant that is what Indian dining these days is all about. Two minutes’ walk from the Angel and backing onto Camden Passage, Emni will draw you in past its provocative smoked glass windows to an interior of chic décor with wide wooden planking, white walls, art and object collection and elegant furniture. The Indian chefs create dishes based on the freshest, lightest ingredients and sauces, dishes that are a feast for the eye as well as the tastebuds – Indian rediscovered. We could spend an hour in the upstairs bar watching Islington stroll by. Service is renowned for intelligence and humour.

A good quality modern indian meal, reliable as usual. The service was a bit grumpy, but all in all a great restaurant, especially for its location. Good for vegetarians too!

First time our guests had been there. They liked it a lot. Generally very good but thought the sauces in the various veggie dishes were similar in taste. A.R.

The food at Emni was lovely and definitely more tasty than your average curry but I was disappointed about the service. We had lots of questions about the food when we ordered but the waitress had only just started and was unable to answer any of our questions. I wouldn't pay full price here as the portions are a little small. The 'large' scallop starter was in fact only two small scallops which at the normal price of £5.95 would have been a rip off
